Everyone knows Taras Shevchenko, poet, prose writer, and artist. A bondman who was bought out from
master and managed to remain true to his pro-Ukrainian views despite the situation in the Russian Empire at the time. Kobzar is the most famous collection of his works of various genres, which will remain timeless forever.
The decoration of this book is done by hand, and a whole team worked on the edition: an art historian specializing in Ukrainian studies, master bookbinders, jewelers, and enamelers. The cover of this luxurious edition is made of genuine Italian leather, decorated with decorative gold embossing and metal overlays covered with silver. The main decorative element is a portrait of Shevchenko, complemented by a pen as a symbol of creativity.
All three sides of the edge are also decorated with drawings, and the overall premium look is complemented by a silk ribbon bookmark sewn into the book.
All details, from the structure of the leather to the carefully selected fonts and paper quality, are designed to emphasize the grandeur of Ukrainian poetry.
