Wooden hand painted triptych nativity scene (shopka) Lodge.

The word “shopka“ came to the Ukrainian language (as well as the tradition itself) from Poland. It literally depicts the story of the birth of Jesus Christ, when Mary and Joseph were given shelter in a stable: among the animals, near the manger.

Initially, it was displayed in churches from Christmas to the Presentation of the Lord, but over time, miniatures of the Bethlehem stable began to appear in homes. And even today, a shopka will be an interesting addition to your interior for Christmas.

Handmade, natural wood, acrylic paints.
